1982
The beginning of AAT Alber Antriebstechnik GmbH can be traced back to the swabian company Haas & Alber Haustechnik und Apparatebau GmbH. The first idea to develop a motor-driven hand truck grew out of the experience gained by the owner of the company who worked in the plumbing and electrical industries. In 1982, a patent was applied for the "hand truck with stair climbing device". The first product, the CargoMaster, was born.
1986
In 1986, a stair climber was developed which made it possible to transport wheelchairs up and down stairs - the scalamobil was created. After the patent for the "stair climbing device for wheelchairs" was registered, the scalamobil was introduced to the market in 1988.
1989
In the following year, Haas & Alber Haustechnik und Apparatebau GmbH came up with the idea of building an electric drive for manual wheelchairs that would enable wheelchair users to move around without having to exert their own strength. This idea gave rise to the e-fix.
1995
In 1995, the company was sold to Triumph Adler AG and the business segment "transport technology" was excluded from the company. At the same time, the company AAT Alber Antriebstechnik GmbH was founded. In addition to the distribution and further development of the CargoMaster products, the new in-house R&D department also developed products for other companies, including the viamobil pushing and braking aid as well as the e-motion wheel hub drive.
With completely new developed climbing systems the company AAT Alber Antriebstechnik GmbH now presented itself on the market. Subsequently, the pushing and braking aid v-max and the add-on drive max-e were successfully introduced to the market. The product portfolio is constantly being expanded with new types of drives and special industry solutions.
2017
On March 31, 2017, AAT Alber Antriebstechnik GmbH was sold to the company REAC AB. REAC AB is a traditional swedish company, which belongs to the Investment AB Latour and has been a successful supplier to the rehabilitation market for many years. AAT remained an independent company within REAC AB.
2019
The company REAC AB becomes MS Group. MS Group is a global provider of products and services in the field of mobility systems to improve the quality of life of disabled and elderly people.
2020
In January 2020, Investment AB Latour, through its subsidiary MS Group, acquires BATEC Mobility S.L. Since then, BATEC (Spain) belongs to MS Group AB with its members REAC AB (Sweden) and AAT Alber Antriebstechnik GmbH (Germany).
2021
