Powerful and resilient - SOLO+

It is often difficult to provide people with obesity with a suitable power wheelchair and this can severely restrict their mobility. In order to meet these requirements, our well-proven SOLO has been specifically upgraded into the SOLO+. With its powerful motors, the SOLO+ offers a reliable solution for increased weight capacity and improved mobility.

Our goal is to support all people in regaining their mobility and improving their quality of life. This is why the maximum permissible total weight of the SOLO+ is 250 kg (wheelchair with SOLO+ and person).

Retrofittable as pushing and braking aid

Optional accessory Smart Control

With our innovative Smart Control attendant control, your SOLO is transformed into a flexible pushing and braking aid in just a few seconds. This is especially useful if the person using the wheelchair can steer the SOLO independently, but sometimes loses concentration on longer journeys.

In addition, being able to be driven by an attendant provides extra safety when driving on challenging terrain or steeper inclines.

The device is operated in a classic way using two ergonomically shaped handles. Ultra-sensitive sensors integrated into the handles enable intuitive direction changes, ensuring an effortless and enjoyable riding experience.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ):

What is the SOLO wheelchair add-on drive?

The SOLO is a lightweight wheel hub drive that converts manual wheelchairs into flexible and maneuverable power wheelchairs. The SOLO is controlled via a control unit with joystick.

Is the SOLO suitable for all wheelchair models?

The SOLO is compatible with most standard wheelchairs that have a 24-inch wheel mount. We will be happy to check whether your wheelchair model is suitable.

How does the conversion of my wheelchair to a SOLO work?

Brackets for the two drive wheels are fitted to your wheelchair in advance. This can be done either at AAT, by our field service or by our certified partners.

Retrofitting is easy and can be carried out without tools. The drive wheels are simply attached to the wheelchair via the brackets using a click system and can be removed just as easily.

How long does the SOLO battery last?

The lithium-ion battery offers a range of up to 35 km and can be quickly recharged with a conventional charger. Alternatively, a lead-gel battery with a range of up to 25 km is also available.

What gradients can the SOLO cope with?

The SOLO is designed for gradients of up to 20%, which meets most everyday requirements.

Can the SOLO also be used as a pushing and braking aid?

Yes, with the optional SmartControl attendant control, the SOLO can also be converted into a pushing and braking aid. It is then operated in the classic way using two ergonomically shaped handles that are attached to the wheelchair handles.

How can I purchase the SOLO?

Once you have decided which AAT product is the right one for you, please contact your general practitioner or medical specialist. He or she is your contact for issuing the appropriate prescription and will prescribe the desired product.

Please bring the issued prescription to your medical supply store. The specialist dealer will prepare a cost estimate on the basis of the prescription and submit it to your health insurance company or to the cost unit responsible for you.
