LIFTING HEAVY WAS YESTERDAY

THE SMART TRANSPORT SOLUTION FOR HEAVY MEDICAL AIDS

Stair climbers for medical supply stores, rehabilitation companies and aid manufacturers

Whether in specialist medical supply stores, rehabilitation facilities or manufacturers of medical aids, field staff face the daily challenge of transporting heavy and bulky aids such as care beds, movement trainers or insert frames safely and efficiently to end customers. It becomes particularly challenging when these loads have to be carried up narrow staircases, down narrow corridors or into buildings without an elevator - often under great time pressure.

The CargoMaster CC160 RE offers the ideal solution for precisely these transportation requirements. As an electric stair climber, it takes on the heavy load - on stairs and at ground level. The result: noticeable physical relief for your employees, significantly fewer absences due to illness and lower personnel costs for deliveries. Where previously two people were required, in many cases only one is needed with the CC160 RE - a clear advantage in times of a shortage of skilled workers.

The use of a stair climber such as the CargoMaster CC160 RE is not only a question of efficiency, but also of occupational safety: according to the Technical Rules for Industrial Safety TRBS 1155, men may lift a maximum of 25 kg, women only 15 kg. Anything more than this requires the use of technical aids - such as the CC160 RE, which both meets the legal requirements and makes everyday ergonomic work in the transportation of aids noticeably easier.

Climbing safely - step by step

The most important function of our safety concept is the automatic braking function when descending: It prevents the stair climber from being accidentally pushed over the edge of the stairs. The brake engages at every step, ensuring maximum safety during use. The climbing legs are positioned particularly close to the edge of the step. This ensures a firm hold, reduces load changes when driving and protects sensitive stairs - ideal for clinics, care facilities and public and private buildings.

The ergonomically shaped handles provide even more control. They enable infinitely variable speed adjustment, switching between up and down travel and can be individually adjusted to the height of the operator. This gives you full control at all times - with a safe and comfortable driving experience.

    CargoMaster CC160 RE & AMPShare

As an official member of the Bosch AMPShare Alliance, the CargoMaster CC160 RE offers real added value in everyday life. Thanks to the innovative AMPShare system, you can use a single battery for numerous devices - flexibly and across all brands. This means: maximum compatibility, easy handling and less downtime.

The battery can be swapped between the CC160 RE and other AMPShare-compatible devices with a single movement - for uninterrupted work. Even better: If you already have Bosch batteries from 8 Ah in use, you can also order the CC160 RE without a battery as an option and continue to use existing batteries. This not only saves on purchase costs, but also reduces electronic waste.

With its powerful, constant performance, the AMPShare system is ideal for demanding applications.

    Legally on the safe side

Lifting heavy loads is not only physically demanding, it is also regulated by law. Employers are obliged to protect the health of their employees - and to provide technical aids for heavy loads.

According to TRBS 1151, hazards caused by manual load handling must be assessed and suitable measures taken. The Load Handling Ordinance (LasthandhabV) stipulates the use of technical aids if loads over 25 kg are regularly moved or under difficult conditions, such as on stairs. The DGUV regulations recommend ergonomic aids from 15 kg (women) or 25 kg (men).

Using the CargoMaster CC160 RE not only helps when transporting heavy loads - it also helps you to comply with legal requirements and minimize long-term health risks in the workplace.

Typical areas of application in everyday rehabilitation and care

    Application example

    Care beds

Care beds are often heavy and unwieldy - even when dismantled, they usually weigh over 80 kg. Transporting them up and down stairs is hardly possible without technical support and usually requires two people. With the CC160 RE, on the other hand, a single person can move care beds safely and effortlessly over steps and on level ground without straining their back.

This noticeably relieves the strain on staff and makes it easier to regularly collect the bed for reuse - because in everyday rehabilitation, a care bed only remains with the end customer for around 10 months on average. By using the stair climber, you can reduce the personnel required for transportation by up to 50%.

    Weight range: 80 - 150 kg

    Application example

    Insert frame

With a weight of up to 95 kg and a length of around two meters, insert frames are challenging to transport - especially in narrow stairwells or without an elevator. In the rehabilitation field service, they have to be delivered and collected regularly. The CC160 RE enables safe, energy-saving and efficient handling by just one person - even on narrow staircases or in old buildings.

    Weight range: 60 - 95 kg

    Application example

    Exercise trainer

Manual and electric exercise bikes weigh between 25 and 40 kg - and are often bulky and difficult to handle due to their shape. Transporting them up and down stairs is a particular challenge, especially in old buildings without an elevator. In day-to-day rehab, several transports often come together - for example for testing, approvals, maintenance or returns. A clear case for support on the stairs! The CC160 RE enables safe, back-friendly and time-saving transportation by just one person.

    Weight range: 25 - 40 kg

    Application example

    Electric wheelchairs

With a weight of up to 150 kg and their bulky design, power wheelchairs are almost impossible to move manually up and down stairs. The weight distribution is often uneven, the center of gravity is low, but rarely in the middle, and there are no suitable grip points - this increases the risk of tipping and makes transport unsafe and energy-sapping. Safe, controlled processes are particularly important for test positions, repairs or rental positions. The CC160 RE enables heavy power wheelchairs to be transported without manual lifting - safely, efficiently and with maximum control. The lashing strap and puncture-proof tires provide additional safety, even on narrow stairs.

    Weight range: 70 - 150 kg

    Application example

    Therapy and comfort chair

With a weight of 40 to 70 kg, therapy or comfort chairs are difficult to transport - especially up and down stairs or in confined living areas. The CC160 RE enables even bulky seating aids to be transported safely and effortlessly by just one person. Ideal for medical supply stores and field services that make regular deliveries or collections.

    Weight range: 40 - 70 kg

    Application example

    Patient lifter

Patient lifts are indispensable in care facilities and at home - but their transportation is often problematic. High weights, bulky designs and sensitive components make lifting and carrying a challenge, especially on stairs. The CC160 RE was specially developed for such applications and transports lifts up and down stairs safely, in a controlled and back-friendly manner.

    Weight range: 25 - 55 kg

    Application example

    Oxygen cylinders

Transporting heavy, unwieldy oxygen cylinders requires maximum safety and ergonomics - especially in buildings with narrow staircases or without an elevator. The CC160 RE ensures a controlled, safe ascent and descent of stairs. The stable bucket reliably secures the load, while the maneuverable chassis also makes longer journeys within clinics, care facilities or private homes easier. This not only reduces the physical strain on staff, but also saves time and effort.

    Weight range: 20 - 100 kg
