Angelina, Apprentice

Industrial clerk

Hey, I'm Angelina, 18 years old and I started my commercial apprenticeship at AAT Alber Antriebstechnik in Albstadt in September 2023.
I like to spend my free time baking and meeting up with friends.

Hello Angelina, which departments within the company have you been through so far, and which are next on the list? Which tasks do we enjoy the most?

So far, I have worked in the Service Center and National Sales departments. I've particularly enjoyed the National Sales department so far, as I like talking to customers and processing orders. Next on my list is the Marketing department and I'm really looking forward to using my creativity.

What I enjoy most is processing orders and completing trainee tasks, as these bring variety to my day-to-day work.

What makes training at AAT special for you?

Every day here at AAT has something special about it. We all work together as a team, laugh together and help each other.

How can we imagine one of your typical working days?

A typical working day for me usually starts with my trainee tasks, such as doing the post or shopping. I particularly enjoy these, as they add variety to my working day. Then I enter orders, process delivery bills and talk to customers.

Would you tell us a bit about the course of your training in relation to the company and school lessons and how the two areas can be combined?

The training here at AAT is dual. This means that your training takes place at two learning locations, namely at the company and at school.

We spend three days a week at the company and the remaining two days at school. School and work can be combined perfectly, as topics are covered at school that you will encounter again during your training at the company.

Do you have any favorite subjects?

My favorite subject is computer science. I enjoy computer science because I know my way around Word and can apply my knowledge here.

What tips do you have for those who would also like to apply here?

  • Be open and friendly
  • Have team spirit
  • Be helpful
  • Be the person you are (don't pretend)

Have you already thought about what you would like to do after your apprenticeship?

After my apprenticeship, I would like to be taken on and continue my training, as AAT offers great opportunities for further training.

In any case, I really enjoy my training as an industrial clerk and would like to continue in this job after my training.
